It's a Double Dose of Christopher Titus! COMEDY CENTRAL Records(R) to Release Christopher Titus' 'Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding' Double CD on Tuesday, July 22

NEW YORK, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Christopher Titus' breakout hit one-man show, "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding," will be available on double CD on Tuesday, July 22 on COMEDY CENTRAL Records. Chronicling Titus's remarkable rollercoaster life with tales of insanity, parental fist fighting and some really crazy stuff, the CD is an hour and a half of unbelievable and unbelievably funny stories.

"Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding" was the inspiration for the hit show "Titus" and showcases a comedian that Time magazine calls "brutal, hilarious and audacious." After years of experimentation with dark and personal storytelling, Titus debuted his one-man show, "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding," at The Hudson Theater in Los Angeles. Already a standout comedian at the 1996, 1997 and 1999 Montreal "Just for Laughs Festival," Titus brought "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding" to the Festival for a sold-out run at the prestigious Centaur Theatre in 2000.

Recognized as one of the greatest comedians working today, Christopher Titus is rare in that he is innovative and fearless with any subject matter and constantly works on the edge on stage. Employing what he calls "hard funny," Titus can take the audience to the darkest place and always bring them out with uproarious laughter.

In celebration of the CD release, "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding" will also run as a 90-minute special on COMEDY CENTRAL on July 22 at 11:00 a.m. The first airings of "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding" were an unqualified success for the network, scoring huge ratings.

Titus' television stand-up includes two cable specials, "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding" for Showtime (2004) and "The 5th Annual End of the World Tour" for COMEDY CENTRAL (2007), as well as regular appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He has guest-hosted COMEDY CENTRAL's' "Live at Gotham," USO Comedy Tour and "Friday Night Stand-Up" and was asked to perform for President Bush at Ford's Theater in July 2007. Titus was the star, executive producer and co-creator of the hit sitcom "Titus," a dark comedy based on "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding," which ran on Fox from 2000-2002, and earned him a Writer's Guild Award nomination and Emmy Award nomination. After the show finished its run, Titus starred in "Special Unit," a pilot he created for COMEDY CENTRAL that was based on the "Shield," but with handicapped actors. The pilot is now set for production to become a feature film. Most recently, Christopher Titus played the lead role of Brody in ABC's "Big Shots," a one-hour drama that aired on Thursdays immediately following "Grey's Anatomy."

Titus' original screenplay, "Five Seconds," is currently in development with Mandalay. In 2006, Titus signed a four-album record deal with COMEDY CENTRAL Records and "The 5th Annual End of the World Tour" was released to rave reviews March 2007. Christopher Titus also starred in the 3-D horror film "Scar" and the 2007 indie film "Remarkable Power." Titus is the founder of The Insight Youth Project, a non-profit organization that raises money for children who have suffered abuse.

Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Dane Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," Grammy Award-winning, "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance," Grammy Award nominees' Steven Wright's "I Still Have A Pony" and George Lopez's "American's Mexican," Todd Barry's "From Heaven," Joe Rogan's "Shiny Happy Jihad," Christopher Titus's "5th Annual End Of The World Tour," Norm Macdonald's "Ridiculous," Demetri Martin's "These Are Jokes," "Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale," Mike Birbiglia's "My Secret Public Journal Live," D.L. Hughley's "Notes From The GED Section," Mitch Hedberg's "Mitch All Together" and "Strategic Grill Locations" and Dave Attell's "Skanks For The Memories."
