Teen Sexual Activity Increases, Contraceptive Use Decreases

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports almost half of high school teens say they have had sex -- an increase of two percent between 2005 and 2007. During the same time period, the proportion of high school teens who say they used a condom the last time they had sex decreased two percent.

The new data is from the C-D-C's 2007 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System. The survey is administered every two years to about 14-thousand high school students nationwide and contains information on high school students' sexual behavior, drug and alcohol use, and other measures.

Solange Knowles Breaks Her Foot on the 'Art Of Love' Tour and Soldiers on

Solange Knowles, currently on tour to support the August 26th release of her new album, SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams, performed with a broken foot on June first at the Kansas City, Missouri "Art Of Love" tour date. As Solange entered the stage in Kansas City, a large piece of metal fell from the doorway and onto her foot, breaking it. Ms. Knowles continued to head out to the stage and performed her full set while in extreme pain. Immediately following her performance, she was rushed to the hospital where she learned her foot was indeed broken. Solange will continue on with the remainder of the tour while in a cast. Per the doctor's instructions and because of the immense pain she is experiencing, Solange will perform her set while sitting on a stool.
