Discovery Communications Announces Brad Singer as Chief Financial Officer
SILVER SPRING, Md., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Discovery Communications today announced the appointment of Brad Singer to the position of Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Singer will join Discovery on July 15 and will be based at the company's global headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. Singer succeeds Roger Millay who is leaving Discovery.

As CFO, Singer will be responsible for leading the global financial functions and future financial strategies of the company and will direct all accounting, treasury, budgeting, and tax activities. He also will serve on Discovery's executive committee and will be a key contributor to the overall strategic direction of the company.
Singer comes to Discovery from American Tower Corporation, where he held executive positions in finance, operations, and strategy since 2000, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Prior to joining American Tower, Singer was an investment banker with Goldman, Sachs & Co., focusing on the telecommunications, media and entertainment industries. He also worked for Clyde's Restaurant Group in Washington, DC, from 1991 to 1995, most recently as CFO.
Singer holds an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard University and is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He previously served as a director of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and chairman of its audit committee and as a director of Citizens Communications Company.
