Cop on Top Fundraiser Heads Into Day Two
State Trooper Helicopter to Land in Woodbury Rainbow Foods Parking Lot Today
MINNEAPOLIS, June 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by Special Olympics Minnesota:
WHAT: A state trooper helicopter will land in the Woodbury Rainbow Foods parking lot (7050 Valley Creek Pl., Woodbury) today at noon. Cheri Dexter with the Washington County Sheriff's Office and Kayte Barton, Special Olympics Minnesota Global Messenger and athlete, will be welcoming the arrival of the helicopter from the Woodbury Rainbow Foods rooftop. Today local law enforcement officers, including Dexter and Special Olympics Minnesota athlete Barton, have completed their first night of camping out on 30 Twin Cities metro-area Rainbow Foods locations to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota as part of the second annual Cop on Top event. A component of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Minnesota, law enforcement officers are camping out for 48 hours or until they reach their fundraising goal. Law enforcement officers are collecting donations from customers and the general public as they eat, sleep and play on the rooftops of Rainbow Foods stores.
