Who Made You? to Premiere on CBS as an All-Star Tribute on Father's Day

Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, and 11 other all-stars to join America's Sportscaster Dick Enberg as he hosts this tribute to fathers

SAN DIEGO, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Promark Productions announced today that CBS will premiere a special compilation and taping of their series "Who Made You?" as an "All-Star Tribute To Fathers" that includes great personal stories from an all-star lineup of how their fathers helped to shape them as people beyond the athlete. Promark further announces the inclusion of Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, and 11 other all-stars who share warm, touching, and often humorous tributes to their fathers in this one-hour CBS special hosted by America's Sportscaster Dick Enberg and premiering on Father's Day, June 15, 2008, at 5 PM EDT.

Sports icons such as Hall of Famers Cal Ripken, Jr., Tony Gwynn, Kellen Winslow, and Don Hasselbeck talk about how their fame is attributable to lessons learned from their fathers and how they have tried to pass those lessons on to their children, including Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Tony Gwynn, Jr., Cleveland Browns receiver Kellen Winslow, Jr., and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. Some of those lessons have been passed from more than one generation, as told by the three generations of the Indy racing Andretti family, Mario, Michael, and Marco.

Some of the nation's hottest athletes' stories tell how their fathers molded them into the champions that they are today, including Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Indy race car driver Danica Patrick, Jake Peavy, Cy Young winning pitcher of the San Diego Padres, Amare Stoudemire, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, star forward of the Phoenix Suns, and tennis star James Blake.

In this uplifting and inspiring show, some of the world's most famous athletes, along with their parents, siblings, friends, coaches, and others who are close to them tell moving stories about how the relationships between those athletes and their fathers helped make them the person that they are today.

Renowned sports broadcaster Dick Enberg, who has been selected to be the show's host, remarks, "Just as it is for the greatest athletes, so has it been for me. I have spent my entire life striving to succeed, always with the thought of wanting to make my father proud. We are nurtured, coached, inspired, driven, and loved by our dads. And this program, respectfully, says thank you in turn to those who made us."

"Although we have seen their performances on athletic fields and in arenas this show will present these athletes in an entirely different light -- as people who achieved their level of greatness and stardom with the direction, guidance, and love provided by their fathers. Not only is this line-up of athletes like nobody has ever seen," says Executive Producer Gary Ravet, "but these athletes and their families share stories that have never been heard before."
