Iran & Its Future.org Welcomes World Renowned Iranian Artist Mohammad Reza Shajarian to D.C.

Iran & Its Future.org Welcomes World Renowned Iranian Artist Mohammad Reza Shajarian to D.C.

WASHINGTON, May 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Iran & Its Future.org is pleased to welcome Mr. Shajarian, a world renowned artist from Iran, who has kept traditional Iranian music alive. Currently on a tour of the United States, he will perform in the Washington, D.C. area on May 30 at George Mason University where the Center for the Arts will be the gathering site for Iranians from all walks of life.

Iranian music of all kinds, particularly classical music, which incorporates Persian poetry, is one of the most important elements of Iranian culture to have been kept alive for the past thirty years while IRI aggression overshadowed our culture and talent. We applaud his efforts and welcome him and his group, including his son, Homayoun, to our city.

Our organization encourages showcasing pride in Iranian culture; in marked contrast to the images IRI portrays of Iranians. It is crucial that Washington politicians, media and, especially, advisors to the U.S. President, who are deluged with war plans, appreciate that ancient Persia was the Cradle of Humanity where Cyrus the Great wrote the first Declaration of Human Rights.

We caution the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf that repeatedly refer inaccurately to the Persian Gulf as the "Arabian Gulf" that, although IRI ignores the erroneous phraseology and does not object, Iranians are offended and do object. Arabs are well aware that billions of dollars generated in their countries come from the wealth of Iranian people.

We want the media in Washington, D.C. to note the efforts of Iranians to stop any attack on Iran which will ultimately result in America paying a hefty price at the pump for the decisions of a few. We want the world to see that despite our oblivious government's rhetoric, Iranians are good-hearted, talented and aware of the danger IRI has caused our world. Nevertheless, attack on Iran is not the answer.

There is much nonsense on the Internet indicating that Iranians would support an attack on Iran. This is completely contrary to well-informed knowledge of Iranians' wishes. Iranians will NOT support a military attack on their country. Neither does our organization, Iran & Its Future.org. We support regime change via the Iranian people for the good of Iran and peace in the Middle East.

If Iran is attacked, the Middle East will become the crossroads of a regional war.

We plead with politicians to heed sound advice: Reject military aggression toward Iran which will only result in converting a West sympathizing populace into a united enemy.
