Maureen McCormick Helps Launch European Diet Sensation in the US

WAYNE, N.J., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Maureen McCormick, best known for her role as Marcia Brady in the '70s sitcom, The Brady Bunch, is the new celebrity ambassador for the launch of SlimShots(TM), a liquid appetite controller that has taken Europe by storm and is now available in the United States.

While a cast member on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, McCormick lost over 30 lbs. and was announced winner of the fifth season. After the show wrapped, she quickly returned to her pre-diet weight. In an effort to take control of her weight, she will use an innovative weight management program that includes SlimShots, a new liquid appetite/portion controller recently introduced in the US. "I was excited when I found SlimShots," McCormick said. "It is so convenient and easily fits into my busy lifestyle. I love the taste -- and it works! After only one week, I've already lost 4 pounds!"

As part of her program, Maureen will work with "nutritionist to the stars" Dr. Philip Goglia over the next six months to lose the weight and inches -- and keep it off. Dr. Goglia, the author of Turn up the Heat: Unlock the Fat-Burning Power of Your Metabolism, has successfully worked with thousands of celebrities and athletes including Owen Wilson, Mandy Moore, and Raven Symone.

Both McCormick and Goglia were on hand for the SlimShots launch party at Manhattan's newest hot spot, 1 Oak, on May 6th. The product is created from all-natural ingredients and helps to control feelings of hunger by providing a feeling of satiety (fullness) for up to eight hours.

Available in convenient single-shots that look like a dairy creamer, SlimShots feature a creamy liquid delivery system with a vanilla flavoring that can be taken alone or added to yogurt, cereals, meal replacement shakes, soup and even coffee. With a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $39.99 for a 30-shot supply, SlimShots should be taken with breakfast and four hours later, with lunch, if desired.

Distributed by IdeaVillage Products Corp., headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey, SlimShots is available to consumers at www.slimshots.com, as well as Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, Rite Aid, Longs, Pathmark, Duane Reade and others.
