Retirement Living TV's Website WWW.RL.TV Named Among 10 Best Sites for Boomers by PCMagazine.com

WASHINGTON, April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Retirement Living TV (RLTV), the first cable network created for people 55+, announced today that their companion website WWW.RL.TV was named one of the 10 best sites for boomers by PCMagazine.com. The site was selected because of its expansive collection of health information and tips, discussion boards and an extensive video library that showcases everything from the best bargain places to retire and interviews with celebrities to compelling caregiving advice along with a digital storytelling campaign and more.

According to eMarketer.com, the number of American boomers who use the Internet at least once a month will grow by more than 4 million, rising from 59.4 million in 2007 to 63.7 million in 2011. "It is a common misconception and blatant stereotype that boomers and seniors don't embrace technology," said Michael Balabon, VP of New Media for RLTV. "There are 78 million baby boomers in the US and they are poised to reap the benefits that the knowledge and usage of technology offers."

RLTV doesn't limit its use of technology to its website. The network also offers a weekly program entitled Retired & Wired, a guide to the latest in high-tech tips and tools, and they were one of the first cable networks to address the upcoming digital transition and its effects on seniors and boomers.

Other sites included in the list were AARP's website AARP.org, a partner of RLTV, BoomerTowne.org and IRememberJFK.com.
