Esurance Gets Animated Over W!LDBRAIN's Presence at Vail Film Festival

Esurance Gets Animated Over W!LDBRAIN's Presence at Vail Film Festival

Esurance Animation Showcase to Feature Special Presentation from W!LDBRAIN

SAN FRANCISCO, April 2, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal auto insurance company, is teaming up with W!LDBRAIN, the award-winning animation studio and entertainment company that develops and produces television programming, motion pictures, commercial content, and licensed merchandise, at the fifth annual Vail Film Festival. Phil Robinson, co-founder of W!LDBRAIN and director of Esurance's cutting-edge commercial spots, will provide an overview of his studio, followed by a presentation from Pixar Animation Studios' Dylan Brown, supervising animator for the Academy Award-winning film "Ratatouille." The Esurance Animation Showcase is the festival's first-ever stand-alone animation program.

Kristin Brewe, Esurance Director of Brand & Public Relations, stated, "I'm thrilled that Phil Robinson, our creative partner of almost four years, is taking part in the Esurance Animation Showcase at the Vail Film Festival. Our campaign would be nothing without Phil's energy and talent. W!LDBRAIN's creative brilliance has been instrumental in the success of our Erin Esurance advertising campaign's success, and I couldn't be happier about their taking part in the Esurance Animation Showcase."

W!LDBRAIN and Esurance have collaborated on the auto insurance company's popular "Erin Esurance" advertisements since May 2004. The two companies have produced approximately 40 commercials and promotional elements featuring Erin Esurance over the past four years. In 2008, W!LDBRAIN and Esurance have incorporated live action elements into the spots for the first time.

Robinson, co-founder of W!LDBRAIN, stated, "I'm delighted that our partner, Esurance, supports events like the Vail Film Festival. It's another sign of their creative approach that promotes animation not only as a commercial vehicle, but as an art form. In addition to our work for commercial clients like Esurance, W!LDBRAIN has a lot to say about our studio's television and movie projects at the Vail Film Festival." Other active W!LDBRAIN projects include Nickelodeon's hit series YO GABBA GABBA!, and Higglytown Heroes, the top-rated and critically acclaimed animated series airing daily on the Disney Channel. The studio also has several ideas for movie projects in development.

The Esurance Animation Showcase will feature the work of several award-winning animators, including Bill Plympton and Juan Pablo Zaramella, as well as recent shorts from Pixar and Disney. The special presentation by W!LDBRAIN and Pixar begins Saturday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Vail Mountain School, at 3000 Booth Falls Road in Vail. The Esurance Animation Showcase will directly follow the presentation. For more information, visit http://www.vailfilmfestival.org/.
