CBS12 News in West Palm Beach Partners with WeatherBug to Offer Viewers Live, Neighborhood-Level Weather Reporting On-air and Online

Daily Newscasts to Feature Live WeatherBug Information from Local Schools and Locations From Across the Viewing Area

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. and GERMANTOWN, Md., April 2, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- CBS12 News in West Palm Beach and WeatherBug(R), the leading provider of live, local weather information services, announced today a partnership to offer viewers live streaming weather information from area schools and downtown locations. CBS12 News Chief Meteorologist, John Matthews, will launch WeatherBug today during the 5:00 p.m. newscast.

Matthews and the CBS12 News weather team will incorporate live weather data and video into their daily weather coverage from 20 WeatherBug Tracking Stations, located atop schools and public buildings throughout the West Palm Beach viewing area. Additionally, CBS12 News will tap into the national network of 8,000 WeatherBug Tracking Stations for live weather conditions and severe weather coverage from around the nation.

Viewers will also be able to download the WeatherBug icon to their desktop at http://www.cbs12.com/ so they can receive customized weather information and severe weather alerts.
