Casting of The Actor(R), the Screen Actors Guild Award(R) - The solid bronze statuette, called The Actor(R), has a green-black patina and stands on a base of polished black granite. The 16-inch award weighs 12 pounds. Skilled craftsmen at the American Fine Arts Foundry work with the lost wax process and pour molten metal to create the Actor(R).

Storyline Online - The Screen Actors Guild Foundation presents Storyline Online, an online streaming video program featuring SAG members reading children's books aloud. The Screen Actors Guild Foundation provides a meaningful way for SAG members to contribute to the literacy of children in their communities through its nationally recognized BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) program and its online component, Storyline. Since its inception, BookPALS has garnered enormous success and provided literacy opportunities to millions of children. SAG Foundation programs also provide emergency relief to members in economic distress, video and audio preservation of the creative legacy of SAG members, scholarships for performers and their children and emergency funds for members with catastrophic illnesses.
