The show, which will run from 3 - 6 p.m. Monday- Friday on 1070 The Fan, will feature talk about local and national sports topics with the occasional side of guy talk. The show premieres on Monday, Jan. 7, when The Fan officially launches.
"Nobody has more connections in the sports world than Eddie, and nobody has more opinions about local and national sports than I do -- he's the fan, I'm the pundit," Kravitz said.
"The big difference between Kravitz and me is that while he THINKS he knows everything, I actually do," said White, who has personally worked with legendary coaches Lou Holtz and Don Shula. "Like Bob Knight says, most of us learn to write in grade school and then move on to bigger and better things. Kravitz still just writes."
"Fans now have one spot to both celebrate and bemoan our local sports teams. Indianapolis is a world-class sports city, and this is the world-class sports talk show to match it," Tom Severino, Vice President/General Manager of Emmis-Indianapolis said.
Kravitz, 47, has been the sports columnist for the Indianapolis Star since 2000. He's worked for several publications, including Sports Illustrated and the Rocky Mountain News. He's done previous radio work for The Fan in Denver (SportsRadio 950) and is a regular contributor to ESPN TV and Radio.
White, who is older than Peyton Manning but younger than Donnie Walsh, is the former Vice President of Team Properties and Sports Marketing for the Adidas group, representing both the Reebok and Adidas brands. He has worked for the University of Notre Dame and the Miami Dolphins. White has worked 20 Super Bowls for the NFL, and is an avid golfer. He's had driving lessons from Richard Petty and putting lessons from Jack Nicklaus.
