Singing Sensations Erasmo, Mariana Ochoa and Colette; Noticiero Azteca America's Jose Martin Samano and Nancy Agosto; and Ventaneando's Atala Sarmiento to Liven Up November 17 Vive Sin Drogas Drug Prevention Event in Phoenix

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Fundacion Azteca America and Una Vez Mas station Azteca America KPDF in Phoenix are pleased to announce a blockbuster collection of on-screen musical and entertainment talent for the U.S. debut of the Gira Vive Sin Drogas drug prevention tour to be held on November 17 at ASU Gammage.

Musical entertainment will include Erasmo, winner of the Fourth Generation of La Academia, and recording sensation with his "A Toda Banda" album launched last year with Sony BMG; as well as Colette, who recently released her CD "A Mi Manera" with the same label. Mariana Ochoa, former member of the pop group OV7, and star of Azteca novelas such as "La Hija del Jardinera" and "Amor Sin Condiciones," will round out the musical talent. Mariana is currently promoting her new album with Warner Music, "Luna Llena."

Also present will be Atala Sarmiento, one of the newest and most enthusiastic members of the cast of Ventaneando America. Other on-screen talent will include Noticiero Azteca America national network anchor Jose Martin Samano and Noticiero Azteca America Los Angeles Anchor Nancy Agosto.

"We are excited to have this great group of talent to help spread the word of living drug free and maintain the attention of our youth for this important message," said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America and Fundacion Azteca America.

The Vive Sin Drogas Tour was launched in Mexico in 1999 to spread the message of living drug-free. To date, Fundacion Azteca has held 70 tours in Mexico to a combined audience of 250,000 people. The event targets Latino adolescents and their parents, with the goal of creating awareness about the consequences of drug, alcohol and food abuses. The United Nations granted the Vive Sin Drogas campaign its Vienna Civil Society Award in 1999 for its contribution to the betterment of society.

The four-hour program presents Azteca on-screen talent, with psychologists and medical doctors to talk about the emotional and physical effects of drug use. Recovered addicts will also be present to share their inspirational stories.

Don't miss the Gira Vive Sin Drogas on Saturday, November 17, 2007, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm at ASU Gammage.

Admission is free. For ticket information, contact Irma Madera (see contact info below).
