Multi-talented Entertainer Chris Brown Goes 'Back to School,' Taking on a Starring Role in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon (R) Video
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- One of America's best-known, multi-talented entertainers, Chris Brown, has taken on a starring role as video host for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's(R) Math-A-Thon program, now in it's 29th year. Chris, who visited the hospital last year and is a steady supporter of St. Jude, takes his support to the next level by encouraging students to use their math skills to help children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

As Chris tells students, "We can all make a difference in the lives of others. I'm proud to help St. Jude. I feel like I'm just a regular person helping out."
Chris stars in the Math-A-Thon video to show middle schoolers that math and fundraising are still "cool." The video encourages students to continue to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude in a fast pace, MTV-style video featuring video clips from his mega hit "Run It."
Chris Brown is a multi Grammy-nominated entertainer, the 2006 Billboard Music Artist of the Year, a pop singer, dancer and actor He releases his sophomore album Exclusive November 6, and also has a leading role in the upcoming movie This Christmas, which hits theaters November 21. His self-titled debut album premiered at #2 on the Billboard charts and has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. Chris headlined his own "Up Close & Personal" tour in 2006, during which he raised more than $50,000 for St. Jude through the donation of proceeds from every ticket sold. His new "Ford Presents Up Close & Personal Holiday Exclusive Tour," which he will also headline, begins in December.
The Math-A-Thon Live video, featuring Chris Brown, will be shown in thousands of schools across the country educating kids about Math-A-Thon, one of St. Jude's most successful fundraising campaigns and one of America's largest education based fundraisers. Students participating in Math-A-Thon ask for pledges from family and friends, as either an amount-per-problem or a one time donation. Students then complete math problems using the Math-A-Thon Funbook or interactive CD-ROM. Last year alone Math-A-Thon raised more than $22 million and is expected to raise more than $25 million this school year.
