Greater Media to Acquire Lincoln Financial Group's WBT-AM, WBT-FM and WLNK-FM in Charlotte, NC

BOSTON, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Greater Media, Inc. announced today the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Lincoln Financial Group's Charlotte-based radio cluster, including AM/FM news/talk simulcast 1110 WBT-AM & 99.3 WBT-FM and 107.9 WLNK-FM, home of the popular, nationally- syndicated "The Bob and Sheri Show."

"Charlotte is a huge growth market and gives us a strong presence in the Southeast to balance our successful markets in the Northeast," said Greater Media President/CEO Peter Smyth. "We've met with the team in Charlotte and think they will be a great fit with the Greater Media family."

The transaction is expected to close in early 2008.

Greater Media, a family-owned company based in Braintree, Massachusetts, is the ultimate parent company of 20 AM and FM radio stations in Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia and New Jersey. The company, through its subsidiaries, also owns a modern printing plant and a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey, and several telecommunications towers throughout the United States.
