Fox News Channel Takes the Rich and Famous Tour of New York

NEW YORK, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Fox News Channel spotlights New York's Rich and Famous Tours in an upcoming story on celebrities in the Big Apple. Hailed as New York's newest "Must-Do" experience for curious locals or starstruck visitors, Rich and Famous Tours is a bus tour thru the most celebrity-filled neighborhoods and tells well-researched information not mentioned in guide books. The feature will be linked on Fox News.com's internet magazine "Imag" in a story all about NYC celebrities and where to spot them. Jim Dykes, Rich and Famous Tours co-founder and guide, is interviewed by Fox News' Amber Milt. "Fox sent a five person crew on the Rich and Famous Tour one morning," says Dykes, "and they stayed for the entire 3 hour tour. They got a lot of footage plus interviews with people on the bus. I'm predjudiced but it really is a fabulous tour. Any tour can show you NY landmarks, but our tour has million dollar celebrity home addresses (Madonna, Uma, Meg, Denzel, etc.), TMZ-style gossip, great NYC trivia, locations such as the Shop Around the Corner from You've Got Mail, the Seinfeld diner and much more.

Fascinated with stars from his days working at Studio 54 and as backstage assistant on events like Night of 100 Stars, Dykes, an actor, is also a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2007 Nominating Committee. Dykes says: "We started Rich and Famous Tours to be the opposite of those double- decker hop-on & off tours with bored guides reciting memorized scripts (sometimes with an agenda) and telling stale jokes. Many tourists hop off and never hop back on. New York City is much too fabulous to put up with that kind of nonsense. Rich and Famous Tours offers the solution: a splash of excitement and a sprinkle of stardust. This is not your grandparents' bus tour."

Dubbed "New York's celebrity tourguide" by Joan Rivers on her radio show, Dykes (www.jimdykes.com ) is famous in tourguide circles for his conservative political beliefs, celebrity friends and "insider information" celebrity stories, beginning with the time director Spielberg "tagged along" on his walking tour giving Dykes an exclusive mention in Liz Smith's syndicated column.
