VH1 Classic Celebrates Bruce's New Album 'Magic' with 24 Hours Of Springsteen Programming, Highlighted With A Never-Before-Seen Interview On "Inside Track: Bruce Springsteen"

NEW YORK, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- VH1, VH1 Classic and VH1Classic.com are bringing Bruce Springsteen fans new series, performances, interviews and videos of New Jersey's own in celebration of his critically acclaimed new album, "Magic" (Columbia Records) that was released October 2. In addition to the new and exclusive online programming on VH1Classic.com, VH1 and VH1 Classic are the only places to see live televised performances from Bruce's current tour.

Beginning Tuesday, October 9, VH1 Classic will air 24 hours of Bruce Springsteen themed programming kicking off at 9 pm with a new interview with the songwriter himself on "Inside Track: Bruce Springsteen." Springsteen sat down last week with rock historian and legendary critic Dave Marsh and talked about his new album Magic and other topics.

Additional programs that will air include "Bruce & the E Street Band Live in NYC," "Bruce Live in Barcelona," "Bruce at the Hammersmith Odeon," "Blood Brothers," "Wings for Wheels" and "VH1 Storytellers: Bruce Springsteen." The programming will continue overnight and will conclude on Wednesday, October 10, at approximately 8:00 pm when both VH1 and VH1 Classic simulcast a live cut-in of the first two songs from Bruce Springsteen's sold out concert at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Exclusively on VH1Classic.com fans can now view "Bruce Springsteen's Box Set," an online compilation which includes an abundance of Springsteen interview clips and great videos, both classic and new.

"Storytellers: Bruce Springsteen," can also now be viewed on VH1Classic.com marking the first time the Storytellers classic will be available online. Taped in his own home state of New Jersey, Springsteen eloquently discussed his music in this Storytellers episode, which originally aired in April, 2005. Springsteen treated fans to an intimate performance as he performed songs from his album Devils & Dust as well as his classics. This solo acoustic show followed in the "Storytellers" format as Springsteen gave an honest and revealing look into his song-writing process. Viewers will get a unique opportunity to hear the inspiration and stories behind such hits as "Blinded by the Light," "Brilliant Disguise" (which he performs with his wife Patti Scialfa), "The Rising," "Thunder Road," "Waiting on a Sunny Day," "Devils & Dust" and "Jesus Was An Only Son."

"Magic" (Columbia Records) hit stores on October 2 and is the first new studio album by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band since 2002's GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum, number one album 'The Rising' (Columbia Records).
