Veteran Charities to Benefit from Martina McBride Concert

WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Several charities that support veterans of America's armed forces and their families will receive one hundred percent of the proceeds from ticket sales from the American Freedom Festival benefit concert featuring country music star Martina McBride. Sentinels of Freedom, Believe in Tomorrow, Cause, The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC), Wounded Warrior Project and Building Homes for Heroes are just a few of the charities who will be the beneficiaries of the Martina McBride concert to be held on Saturday, November 10 at the DAR Constitution Hall at 7:30 p.m.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer top notch entertainment while supporting those men and women who have given so much in defense of this country," said SMA Jack Tilley (retired). "One hundred percent of ticket sales from the Martina McBride concert will go directly to support those organizations that help our troops and their families."

"A Tribute to the Veterans of America's Armed Forces," headlined by Martina McBride, will kick-off Veteran's Day weekend celebrations in our Nation's capital. Martina will be joined on stage by country singer Darryl Worley, "JAG" television star Karri Turner, WWE wrestler John Bradshaw Layfield, Crystal Rheams and the U.S. Army Band. Tickets may be purchased through Ticketmaster.

The concert is organized and presented by the American Freedom Foundation, Inc, a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to honor veterans of America's armed forces and to raise money and awareness for various veterans organizations. AFF places special emphasis on addressing welfare and educational issues facing those wounded in action, the disabled and helping the families and children of veterans killed in action during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
