Cablevision Announces Relationship With TBWA\Chiat\Day New York as Agency for New Optimum TV Advertising Approach
NEW YORK and BETHPAGE, N.Y., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE:CVC) today announced that it plans to retain TBWA\Chiat\Day to provide marketing and advertising support for expected 2008 launches of TV and online commerce, as well as network ad storage. Cablevision's commerce and bookmarking tools will introduce new categories of advertising inventory for national brands and regional and local advertisers that will leverage the strength of Cablevision's Optimum fiber network, advanced digital services and customer relationships.

Cablevision has already built and launched its own interactive shopping services Optimum Autos and Optimum Homes, which offer cars and residential properties to its digital cable customers, and has also partnered with leading national advertisers to promote specific products and services through dedicated branded channels. Clients have included Disney Vacations, Sony Bravia, The U.S. Navy and Unilever.
