Take Pride in America(R) and BusRadio Announce New Partnership
WASHINGTON, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Take Pride in America today announced a new partnership with BusRadio, a national radio network that brings age- appropriate music, news and public service messages to close to 1 million kids during their daily bus ride. Through the partnership, BusRadio will play a series of Take Pride public service announcements (PSA's) on its daily elementary, middle and high school radio programs.
The partnership will help instill in students the importance of taking care of the shared spaces we all enjoy, promote Take Pride's spirit of volunteerism in our nation's youth, as well as help to foster more relationships with local schools across the country.
"Take Pride in America is excited to team up with BusRadio, as we cultivate future leaders and stewards of our public lands," said Heather Roebke, Executive Director, Take Pride in America. "It's through the increasing support of partners like BusRadio, that Take Pride is able to build and energize its Take Pride Schools program, and we thank Bus Radio for the enthusiasm and commitment they've put into this relationship."
The initial PSA campaign includes three radio spots: the first promotes volunteerism on public lands, the second encourages students to sign their school up to be a part of the Take Pride Schools program, and the third promotes Take Pride's website, http://www.takepride.gov/.
"BusRadio is thrilled to partner with Take Pride in America to help advance its mission to increase volunteer service on our nation's public lands and honored to be a part of this extraordinary effort to inspire children across America to become involved with the public spaces in their own cities, towns and neighborhoods," said Steven Shulman, president and co-founder of BusRadio.

About BusRadio
BusRadio is a national radio network that brings age-appropriate music, news and public service messages to close to 1 million kids in 120 school districts in 26 states during their daily bus rides. In order to bring positive public service messages to kids across the country, BusRadio partners with a select number of the nation's most trusted and highly-regarded non-profit organizations, such as Take Pride in America, to lend their voices to these messages. The mission of BusRadio is to provide a safer bus ride for kids by ensuring age-appropriate content during the daily bus ride, by providing school districts with the safety features they need to ensure that their school buses are as safe as possible, and by providing bus drivers with a valuable tool to keep noise levels down, minimize distractions, and help keep kids safe, seated and well-behaved. BusRadio provides school districts with safety features like GPS, panic buttons tied directly to local emergency services, and internal and external PA systems on every single bus. BusRadio grew out of a frustration with the exposure of kids to inappropriate FM radio programming during the daily bus ride. BusRadio offers a better, safer, age-appropriate alternative.
