Smilebox and Lifetime Television Promote Breast Cancer Awareness With Multimedia Designs for Sending Mammogram Reminders and Celebrating Courage
Proceeds of all Pink Ribbon and Lifetime Designs in October Donated to Fight Against Breast Cancer
REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Smilebox, Inc., the leader in multimedia expressions technology, today released two multimedia greeting and scrapbook designs in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The designs, created in conjunction with Lifetime Television's "Stop Breast Cancer for Life (SBCFL)" campaign and offered at http://www.lifetimetv.com/breastcancer, give users a creative way to remind their loved ones to get a mammogram, sign the petition for federal funding for care, celebrate courage or share the story of a loved one using their photos, videos, text and music. The pink ribbon designs will also be available in the Smilebox service at http://www.smilebox.com/
One hundred percent of all October proceeds from the Lifetime version of Smilebox, including all the proceeds from pink ribbon design purchases or subscriptions from the Smilebox service, will be donated to the fight against breast cancer through Lifetime's award-winning "SBCFL" campaign. The recipients of emailed creations will have one-click options to support the cause by sending a Smilebox or sign the online petition to urge congress to pass the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act of 2007 that eliminates "drive- through mastectomies."
The designs will be promoted to Lifetime visitors through targeted email newsletters, on the Lifetime website and on Lifetime Television. They will also be prominently offered on the Smilebox service.
"Our customers' lives are greatly impacted by breast cancer -- whether personally or through friends and family," said Andrew Wright, CEO and founder of Smilebox. "Smilebox offers a personal and emotionally rich way for people to tell their stories using their personal digital media."
"Lifetime is committed to use the power of the media and internet to end breast cancer. By emailing and posting the Lifetime pink ribbon greeting and scrapbook, women can share their personal stories of survival, celebration or remembrance and connect with women around the world," said Dan Suratt, Executive Vice President, Digital Media and Business Development for Lifetime Television.
