SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nickelodeon has picked up seven additional episodes of the hit comedy Just Jordan, bringing its second season total to 20, it was announced today by Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President Development and Original Programming, Nickelodeon. The show, rooted in star Lil' JJ's stand-up comedy, moves to a new day and time -- Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT -- on November 3, kicking off with a special episode premiere guest-starring Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee) as a teen star who Jordan (Lil' JJ) meets in the middle of paparazzi chaos.

"The show tackles that fun time of adolescence when you consider yourself 'all grown up' but there's so much left to learn. Jordan and his friends are putting themselves out there and finding out you can't always predict what comes back," says Cohn. "This season the show tapes in front of a live audience, which makes JJ's performance shine, lifting the comedy to a whole new level."
New this season, too, creator and executive producer Alison Taylor (The Cheetah Girls) is joined by executive producer Warren Hutcherson (The Bernie Mac Show) and co-executive producers Teri Schaffer (The Bernie Mac Show) and David Hoge & Dan Cross (One on One).
Just Jordan centers on take-charge teen Jordan Lewis, who splits his time between school and waiting tables at his grandpa's (Beau Billingslea) legendary diner. In the episode titled "Fame Game" Jordan and his friends meet teen pop star C.C. (Palmer) while she is chased by paparazzi and discovers that the picture-selling business can be lucrative. However, when Jordan gets to know the young singer, he just can't go through with his money-making plan.
Also this season, love blooms as Chelsea Tavares (Unfabulous) joins the cast as Autumn, a beautiful aspiring model. Rounding out the cast are Raven Goodwin as tell-it-like-it-is cousin Tangie; Eddy Martin as brainiac Joaquin; Justin Chon as cute but dim Tony; Kristen Combs as Jordan's perky little sis Monica and Shania Accius as his no-nonsense mom Pam.
Dubbed "The Prince of Comedy" in his hometown of Little Rock, Lil' JJ excelled in school and grabbed attention as a class clown. His gym teacher, Ken Bright, who serves as consulting producer on Just Jordan, spotted something exceptional beyond the practical jokes and helped the young talent get his start at an open mic night. Lil' JJ's big break came when he entered BET's stand-up comedy competition "Coming to the Stage" and defeated challengers two and three times his age. His win brought him to the attention of NBC's The Tonight Show, where his performance impressed viewers of all ages.
Subsequently he appeared on Showtime at the Apollo and made his feature film debut starring opposite Oscar nominee Queen Latifah in MGM's Beauty Shop. He appeared opposite stars Anthony Mackie and Wayne Brady in the independent film Crossover, an urban drama about the competitive underground world of street basketball. As part of a development deal with Nick Movies, the breakout actor/comedian, who co-starred in the Nick Movies/Paramount Pictures release Yours, Mine and Ours, will Executive Produce and star in a feature film based on his real-life rags to riches tale. He headlined BET's Teens of Comedy 20-city tour featuring five teenage up-and-coming stand-up comedians.
