Marketing Drive and the US Environmental Protection Agency Encourage Others to Join the Fight

Documentary and PSA Campaign Urge Americans to Unite and Fight Global Warming

BOSTON, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- In an innovative media partnership, bringing together the power of broadcast media and environmental protection, Marketing Drive has facilitated a unique partnership between the Documentary Channel, Alliance to Save Energy, and its client EPA. The full-length television documentary on energy efficiency and the fight against global warming, entitled emPOWERed, is now airing on the Documentary Channel and is being selected for film festivals nationwide.

Airing at the Colorado Environmental Film Festival in Golden, CO on November 1-3, emPOWERed has also been submitted for inclusion to the following festivals:

In another effort to encourage Americans to join the fight, Marketing Drive worked with the EPA to create a PSA campaign that includes both broadcast and print components. Using footage from the Documentary Channel shoots, the broadcast component highlights how people across the country are making individual changes that have a positive, collective impact on our environment. The broadcast portion of the campaign is in full force, launching on national television and cable networks. It can also be seen at energystar.gov/psa. The print leg of the campaign will launch in late fall of 2007 and feature the work of award-winning photographer Russ Quackenbush.
