Irish Entertainer Daniel O'Donnell Releases Daniel O'Donnell Can You Feel The Love DVD & 2-CD Set

Irish Entertainer Daniel O'Donnell Releases Daniel O'Donnell Can You Feel The Love DVD & 2-CD Set

NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Fans of Daniel O'Donnell are well aware of the Irish sensation's captivating way with a love song. Now, with the release of his latest DVD & 2-CD set, they can enjoy an entire concert devoted exclusively to some of the world's best-loved songs of love and romance.

With its cabaret setting, Daniel O'Donnell -- Can You Feel The Love captures Daniel at his most intimate, in a concert taped in Killarney, Ireland and aired in 2007 on PBS stations nationally. It is the seventh of his acclaimed PBS specials, following shows devoted to rock 'n' roll, songs of inspiration, and country music favorites, among others (on DPTV Media/Koch, O'Donnell's North American record label).

Daniel covers a range of love songs, from the lovely Irish ballad "Mary From Dungloe" to upbeat celebrations of romance like "Hello Mary Lou" and "Never Ending Song Of Love." He also sings nine of his own compositions, including the title track, as well as the hits "Crush On You" and "Until The Next Time."

Daniel's guests include longtime musical partner Mary Duff, performing solo numbers and three duets (including a spirited version Hank Williams', "Hey Good Lookin'") and his wife Majella, who performs the Patsy Cline standard "Walking After Midnight" and joins Daniel for a heartfelt rendition of "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You." Daniel's band and back-up singers, as well as an eight-piece string section, accompany.

O'Donnell has gained an ever-expanding circle of North American fans since his first PBS special, The Daniel O'Donnell Show, in 2002. His trademark combination of country, pop, rock, inspirational ballads and Irish standards has sold 7.5 million albums worldwide, and he has placed more albums (25) on Billboard's World Music Chart than any other artist. His live shows are especially popular, and his 2008 tour will include stops in Lethbridge, Portland (OR), Vancouver, Seattle, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Pasadena, Fresno, Chicago, Moline, Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, St. John's, Portland (ME), Wilkes Barre and Cleveland. He will also spend November '08 performing in Branson, Missouri. His new book, Daniel O'Donnell's Ireland: Songs and Scenes From My Homeland will be published in February, 2008 (Virgin Books), and Daniel O'Donnell At Home In Ireland, his new PBS Television special, will begin airing in March, 2008.
