Belo Promotes James Aitken to President and General Manager of KREM-TV and KSKN-TV in Spokane
DALLAS, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Belo (NYSE:BLC) announced today that James Aitken has been promoted to president and general manager of KREM-TV and KSKN-TV in Spokane. Aitken moves to Spokane from Phoenix where he has been vice president/general manager, KASW-TV and station manager, KTVK-TV since March 2005. Prior to that, he was president and general manager of Texas Cable News in Dallas.
"Aitken's extensive media experience in broadcast program development, business analysis, strategic planning, news production, and duopoly management makes him the ideal candidate to lead our Spokane properties," said Ray Heacox, president/General Manager KING-TV.
Aitken has served as a member of the CW Affiliate Board, the Endowment Board of the Walter Cronkite School of Telecommunications and Mass Communications of Arizona State University, and the NATAS National Board of Directors.
