KEARNEY, Mo., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- WHAT: The night before Brad Pitt walks the red carpet at the L.A. debut of his new film, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, the actor's home state of Missouri will be holding a Jesse James premiere of its own. WHY: The Missouri Division of Tourism is hosting the event to recognize the celebrity of two of the Show-Me state's most famous sons, Brad Pitt and Jesse James and, more importantly, to remind people that they can see and experience the authentic Missouri sites where Jesse James rode, robbed, lived and died. Starting on September 21, the same day the Brad Pitt movie opens, visitors to the Jesse James Farm will see Clay County Historic Sites' new film about Jesse's life as part of its tour of the Jesse James Farm & Museum. It's taking place at the Missouri farmstead where he was born, raised, and, eventually buried. Jesse James Farm & Museum 2126 James Farm Road Kearney, Missouri 64060 Kearney is 20 miles northeast of Kansas City, Missouri. A wagon-load of settlers will join invited guests.
