KUTZTOWN, Pa., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The 3rd annual Haydenfilms Online Film Festival is looking for your vote to determine the top four films from among 50 short films. The public has until Oct. 30, 2007 to cast its vote by logging on to http://www.haydenfilms.com/fest07, where voters can view all 50 films.

One of the first solely online festivals, Haydenfilms continues to push the technology envelope to support independent and student filmmakers across the globe. This year, Haydenfilms has partnered with Viddler, Inc., Bethlehem, Pa., to enhance the voting process. Viddler.com is promoting the films, filmmakers and viewers and all film reviews for the third annual festival will go through Viddler, the open video-sharing platform where people and businesses upload, tag, and securely share their videos with the world. Viddler is the only platform that offers tagging, video commenting, and linking to any moment in video.

The Haydenfilms Online Film Festival -- open to all student and independent filmmakers -- uses an expert panel of judges to select the top 50 films from hundreds of entries. The public votes for the best four films, one of which will receive the top $10,000 cash prize at a ceremony in January 2008 in New York City. One voter selected at random will win an all-expense trip to attend the ceremony.

Craddolph started the Haydenfilms Online Film Festival in October 2004 as a way for filmmakers to showcase their works online. Of the various online festivals, it was the first to accept all short films regardless of genre and the first to offer a large cash prize.
