Canon U.S.A. Extends NATURE Sponsorship to V-me
Longtime sponsor of popular public television series joins Spanish network in offering program for first time in Spanish
NEW YORK, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- For 25 years, NATURE has been the benchmark of natural history programs on public television, capturing the splendors of the natural world, from the African plains to the Antarctic ice, and for 17 consecutive years, Canon U.S.A., Inc. has been a major corporate underwriter of this popular program. Today, Canon U.S.A. extends its sponsorship of the series to the V-me network, bringing NATURALEZA (NATURE) for the first time in Spanish to a national audience of U.S. Latinos.
"Canon has enjoyed being a major funding provider for this award-winning natural history and wildlife program since 1990. Now, as they expand NATURE's presence to the Latino communities in the U.S. through the V-me network, we plan to continue to be a significant underwriter for this program," said William Reed, senior vice president and general manager, Corporate Communications, Canon U.S.A., Inc.
The Peabody and Emmy award-winning series, produced by Thirteen/WNET New York, presents stunning photography from around the globe by some of the world's most accomplished natural history filmmakers. With fascinating programs about survival, sex, endangered species, human and animal interaction and much more, NATURALEZA brings Latinos an intimate experience of our natural world.
"Through its partnerships with world-class producers, V-me's coverage of the natural world makes up an important part of our content. V-me is proud to be offering NATURALEZA for the first time to the national Hispanic community, and are pleased that we are able to extend Canon's underwriting presence to V-me's dynamic and growing audience," said Michael Ginn, senior vice president, sponsorship and sales.
NATURALEZA is part of V-me's extensive factual programming lineup delivering entertaining, educational and engaging science and technology, current affairs, natural history and biographies for U.S. Latinos.
