DIY Network's First Interactive Television Series Premieres August 16 at 9 P.M. ET

From its launch in February 2007, it was clear the network's first interactive initiative was a hit! DIY's companion Web site, DIYnetwork.com, invited visitors to vote each day on 13 projects to be incorporated into the cabin built in Townsend, Tenn. By early April, more than 4.2 million votes were cast, 1.7 million pages viewed, and 2,800 blog comments were posted, resulting in final decisions on the floor plan, roof, countertops, front door, and more!

During construction (mid-April to July), a blog about the build led by host Amy Devers, advice on the best practices, along with online discussions, photos and videos were available on DIY's Web site, and will continue throughout the airing of the Blog Cabin TV series.

Also debuting the first week of August, DIYnetwork.com will feature a 360-degree tour of the completed cabin; multiple photo galleries; video exclusives for each episode of the TV series; a show schedule; and a resource guide. In addition, online users can register daily to win DIY's Blog Cabin by entering on DIYnetwork.com, beginning Thursday, Aug. 16 until Monday, Oct. 1.
