LONG BEACH, Calif., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- KKJZ 88.1 FM is proud to announce the return of the 28th Annual Long Beach Blues Festival (LBBF), scheduled for September 1 & 2, 2007. LBBF is often considered the Grandaddy of the West Coast music festivals ... as the roster of past performers is a virtual history of American Music!
This year, Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees Buddy Guy & Little Richard will anchor the stellar line-up, which also includes Dr. John, Robert Cray Band, Taj Mahal (reunited with the Phantom Blues Band), The Jimmy Reed Highway (Jimmie Vaughan, Kim Wilson, Omar Kent Dykes and Lou Ann Barton), Koko Taylor and Her Blues Machine, Irma Thomas and many others.

THE JUKE JOINT The Juke Joint Stage, a new addition for 2007, is a shaded venue where fans can experience intimate blues performances and acoustic sets. KKJZ 88.1 FM Global Jazz, Inc. is the new management company of KKJZ (88.1 FM), America's Jazz and Blues Station. KKJZ's long-running blues program "Nothin' But The Blues" airs every weekend with hosts Bubba Jackson (Saturday 2 - 7 p.m.) and Jack Devaney (Sunday 4 - 9 p.m.) TICKET PRICES General admission tickets are only $45 per day, $75 for a 2-day pass, and children 12 years & under are admitted free with a paid adult.
