Sununu to Bloomberg's Al Hunt - He Wouldn't Campaign With Bush Now

NEW YORK, July 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This weekend on Bloomberg Television: With President George W. Bush's job approval at an all time low, New Hampshire Republican John Sununu tells Al Hunt that he won't campaign with Bush "in this climate" when running for re-election next year.

Bush had campaigned for Sununu in New Hampshire twice during the 2002 election when Sununu beat Democrat Jeanne Shaheen by 20,000 votes for the senate seat. Shaheen, who hasn't declared her candidacy, led Sununu 56 percent to 34 percent according to this month's Concord Monitor poll of likely voters.

The full interview with John Sununu can be seen this weekend on 'Political Capital with Al Hunt' on BLOOMBERG TELEVISION. 'Political Capital' airs on Friday at 11pm ET with repeats throughout the weekend.

This exclusive news and follow up reports are available to the public on BLOOMBERG TELEVISION and BLOOMBERG RADIO(R) services worldwide, as well as to users of the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL(R) service. Clips from the interviews will be archived and available via the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL service.
