- Una Vez Mas Station Group Expected to Boost Local Promotions and Programming -

LOS ANGELES, May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, the fastest-growing Hispanic television network in the U.S., is proud to announce a new affiliate for Houston.

As of July 1, 2007, Azteca America will be transmitted on KVIT, channel 34. The station will be operated by Una Vez Mas (UVM), affiliate of all Azteca America stations in Texas.

Una Vez Mas will soon be operating in all 19 designated market areas that exist in Texas. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas has more than 7.9 million Hispanics, representing 14.5% of the U.S. Hispanic population. Texas Hispanics hold more than $142 billion of buying power.

"As our largest affiliate group, Una Vez Mas was our best option for Houston and has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to establish and successfully operate Azteca America affiliates, working hand in hand with the network to grow our franchise," stated Adrian Steckel, CEO of Azteca America.

Aside from increased local and regional promotion of Azteca America, Una Vez Mas is expected to launch local news during the fourth quarter of 2007, a much deserved service for Houston, which is the fourth-largest Hispanic market in the country.

"We will now have a stable and long-term affiliate relationship with a proven operator in some of our most important markets. Our commitment to Houston will give viewers and clients the seamless service of Azteca America that they expect and deserve," said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America. "As the operator of all of the Azteca America stations throughout Texas, Una Vez Mas has a very unique platform for clients."
