The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino Welcomes the Blue Man Group's Retooled and Rewired Show

The Combination is a Blueprint for Success

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Bluephoria is filling the air at The Venetian with the highly anticipated opening of the Blue Man Group. The avant-garde and extremely popular trio is now performing nightly in a venue built especially for them -- a 1760 seat state-of-the-art theatre, larger than their former Las Vegas theatre -- allowing the troupe to incorporate exciting and new elements into their show.

"We are excited to present Blue Man Group in a state of the art theatre which maximizes the experience," said Rob Goldstein, president and COO of The Venetian. "The Venetian will follow Blue Man with Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera in 2006 with another amazing theatre built specifically for that show."

"We are so excited at the prospect of performing in a theater specifically tailored to our needs," adds Blue Man co-founder, Chris Wink. "With The Venetian allowing our input throughout the entire process we were able to create an entirely new environment and add items to our show that we never thought possible. Now, even if you have seen the show in the past, the brand new elements make it an entirely original experience."

Founded by long-time friends Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink, the critically acclaimed Blue Man Group creates experiences that defy categorization. They are best known for multimedia performances that feature three bald and blue characters who take the audience on a journey that is funny, intelligent and visually stunning. Blue Man Group's theatrical productions run concurrently in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin and Toronto, and will be opening in London this month.

Shows will be performed nightly in the Blue Man Theatre at The Venetian at 7 pm with a second show on Saturdays at 10 pm. Ticket prices are: $110; $95 and $75 plus tax and service fees. For tickets call: Venetian Box Office: 702-414-7469 or 866-641-SHOW. Group Sales: 702-369-9455.
