Turtle Creek Chorale Hosts Concert to Raise Funds for the Something mAAgic Foundation; A Night of Music and Magic to Benefit Children

FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On Sunday, Oct. 9, the Turtle Creek Chorale will present Music, Magic & Wishes Come True, a concert benefiting the Something mAAgic Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. following the catered pre-concert event at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

A portion of the proceeds from the concert will help fund Something mAAgic's 10th annual WishFlight on Nov.4. WishFlights send children with life-threatening medical conditions and their families from all over the country on American Airlines and American Eagle to Orlando, Fla., each year for a one-week, all-expense-paid adventure to the Give Kids The World Village and Orlando area attractions.

Several years ago, American Airlines built the Park of Dreams, a water park designed for kids with life-threatening medical conditions, at Give Kids The World Village. Last year, Something mAAgic sent 18 kids from 17 cities to participate in the Orlando activities. The trips are made possible by generous time and monetary donations by American Airlines and American Eagle employees and other donors, such as the Turtle Creek Chorale.

Before the concert, guests can enjoy face painting, clowns, magicians and kid-friendly food at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Meyerson Symphony Center.

"We would like to extend great thanks to the Turtle Creek Chorale for presenting this benefit concert in support of Something mAAgic and our 10th annual WishFlight," said Beth Van Zant, Executive Director of the Something mAAgic Foundation and Consulting Manager, Customer Service for American Airlines. "Bringing joy to these special children and their families is the desire and purpose of our organization, and we are thankful that the Turtle Creek Chorale is able to help make their dreams a reality."

Tickets for this memorable one-night-only concert event begin at $40 and can be purchased by calling (214) 526-3214 ext. 102 or online at http://www.turtlecreek.org/ . Tickets can also be purchased online and donated to families affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
