RELM Wireless Receives U.S. Military Order of Approximately $1.0 Million
WEST MELBOURNE, Fla., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RELM Wireless Corporation (AMEX:RWC) today announced that the Company received an order totaling approximately $1.0 million from an agency of the United States military. These orders are for RELM's premier BK Radio D Series digital radios compliant with the APCO Project 25 (P25) technical standard. The hallmark of P25 is interoperability among compliant equipment, regardless of the manufacturer, a critical factor for the military as well as for public safety and homeland security coordination. This order is scheduled for delivery during the fourth quarter of 2005.
