New Northwest Broadcasters Standardizes on Scott SS32 Across Entire Group of 37 Stations
dMarc's RevenueSuite Helps Small and Middle Market Stations Level the Playing Field
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- dMarc today announced that New Northwest Broadcasters has elected to purchase new Scott SS32 Digital Automation Systems for deployment across their entire group of 37 stations, with the first installations already well underway.
"We're extremely excited to finally have all of our stations on a single platform," said Ray Edwards, New Northwest Vice President of Programming. "dMarc made it easy for us to upgrade everybody all at the same time rather than staging it over the next five years as capital budgets permitted. Unlike any of the alternatives, this system is a revenue enhancer and not just a huge capital expenditure."
"The most exciting thing for me, as a programmer," Edwards says, "is the opportunity to train our up-and-coming talent on a common system. Because one of our strengths is to provide new talent with a place to learn and grow, this was very important to us."
"This is a sign of things to come," said dMarc President, Ryan Steelberg. "Small and middle market stations and groups are learning that with the right financing and revenue generation packages they can afford the same high-end Digital Automation technology leveraged by the biggest groups in the industry. New Northwest saw early on the advantages of our RevenueSuite and SmartBarter programs, and found that they could afford a solution that otherwise would have been the largest capital expenditure in their annual budget."
RevenueSuite is included with every new Scott SS32 and Maestro system. It automatically fills inventory opportunities at participating stations with paid advertising after the daily logs are closed. RevenueSuite inserts paid commercials, updates the logs, distributes creative and automatically produces extensive reports, all without the need for human interaction. SmartBarter helps the broadcaster afford the system with minimal cash outlay.
"If stations are going to thrive in this market," Steelberg said, "they need every possible competitive advantage. Scott SS32 gives groups like New Northwest an advantage that is not only affordable but profitable."
