24-Hour Marathon Features Spooktacular Films for the Entire Family

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Stay in with Starz Kids & Family this Halloween and enjoy 24-hours of spooktacular films the entire family will enjoy. The marathon begins Monday, October 31 at 6:00 a.m. (ET/PT) and features such Halloween hits as "The Haunted Mansion" and "Hocus Pocus."

The 24-hour marathon includes a collection of spooky, but not too scary, Halloween films, plus other special programming. The featured programs during the marathon include (all times are ET/PT):

* "The Haunted Mansion" (October 31 at 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.) -- Workaholic real estate agent Jim Evers (Eddie Murphy) drags his family to the big, creepy Gracey mansion in hopes of rebuilding it into a lavish condo development. When they get there, however, the family quickly finds that they are not alone.

* "Hocus Pocus" (October 31 at 8:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.) -- Halloween trick-or-treaters come face-to-face with three witch sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Nijimy) from the past in Salem, Massachusetts.

* "Rat" (November 1 at 2:45 a.m.) -- An Irishman's (Pete Postlethwaite) family is turned upside down when he returns home from the local pub and turns into a rat.

* "Spaced Invaders" (October 31 at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.) -- Confused aliens hear Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast and think it is their invitation to invade earth. The film co-stars Douglas Barr, Royal Dano and Ariana Richards.

* "The Witches" (October 31 at 11:15 p.m. and November 1 at 4:20 a.m.) -- A young boy (Jasen Fisher) crashes a witch convention and must stop them even after he is turned into a mouse. The film stars Anjelica Huston as the Grand High Witch.

* "On the Set: The Haunted Mansion" (October 31 at 11:35 a.m., 5:35 p.m., 11:00 p.m. and November 1 at 2:25 a.m.) -- A behind-the-scenes look at the making of "The Haunted Mansion," starring Eddie Murphy.
