Energizer Sponsors New Reality Series, Bound for Glory

Energizer Bunny(R) and Keep Going(R) Spirit Inspire High School Football Team

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Energizer has announced that it will be a sponsor of the new ESPN reality series, Bound for Glory: The Montour Spartans. As part of the real life drama, Energizer will be providing encouragement through its Keep Going(R) spirit to a small-town football community. The series documents the season of a once celebrated high school football team. The Montour Spartans share what they hope will be their turnaround season through the eyes and stories of the players, coaches, teachers, families and friends. The Spartans are from McKees Rocks, a small town in western Pennsylvania with a big love of football and spirit that refuses to quit. NFL legend Dick Butkus has been brought in as head coach to see if he can help turn things around.

In an upcoming episode, Energizer will donate a new, electronic scoreboard to the Montour Spartans to encourage the team to Keep Going even when the going gets tough. In addition, Energizer has donated 10,000 thunder sticks for the attendees of the games to use to cheer on the team. One side of the thunder sticks has the name of the team, The Montour Spartans, while the other side proclaims, "Keep Going."

"The Keep Going message is so important for the determined Montour Spartans," said Jeff Ziminski, Vice President of Marketing/North America.

The series is scheduled for eight, one-hour episodes on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. CST on ESPN beginning September 20. Energizer enters the picture by the 4th episode airing on October 11, when the company is showcased in the Montour High Homecoming festivities.
