Debut of 'Clean Content' Improv Theatre for Teens and Families

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago Comedy Company (C3) announces the world premier of a new "clean content," multimedia, interactive improvisational comedy theater, the 1st in the United States. C3 has developed a unique concept in entertainment for families, adults, and there will be special shows for teens only.

The newly built club is located at Streets of Woodfield Mall, 601 N. Martingale Road, Suite 171, Schaumburg, Ill.

Founder Steve Matuszak says the Chicago Comedy Company is the first 100% improvised, 100% audience interactive comedy theater dedicated to clean comedy, with no alcohol served or allowed in and no smoking. Every show is different.

The grand opening weekend is Thursday - Sunday, Nov. 3 - 6, with two shows daily at 7:30 & 9:30 p.m.

Matuszak admits it's a risk and has never been done (clean content, no alcohol), but one he is certain will be a huge hit with teens and families.

"C3's mission is to present gut-busting funny shows while still maintaining a commitment to 'clean comedy,'" Matuszak said. "There is no offensive, inappropriate, racial or sexual language, and very important to our business plan -- there is no alcohol."

The audience interaction comes from multimedia sources (which teens love). There will be live video projected onstage as well as other computer, internet, iPod and digital means of getting audience members involved. In addition, live video feed of latecomers outside will provide comedic fodder for those waiting inside to start the show.

"Almost 100% of our improv will have audience interaction," Matuszak said. "The format of the shows makes it easy for ANYONE to participate, but there is also plenty of sensitivity to those who just wish to observe.

Matuszak has hired some of the best and most talented and innovative leaders in improv for the new venue including Brian Vogler, Melissa Cathcart, James Heslop, Chris Walsh, and Marla Caceres.

These nationally recognized performers will also be teaching C3's new classes in improvisation, stand up comedy, comedic acting, writing and more! The classes are for everyone, including those who want to perform professionally and those who don't!

Tickets are $15 for adults, $11 for teens and college students with a student ID. Visit http://www.chicagocomedyco.com/ or call (847) 240-0380.
