WyoTech-West Sacramento Hosting Open House Celebration September 17th

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The official opening of WyoTech-West Sacramento's 160,000 square foot facility, which houses more than 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art shop space, will include an open house at the campus on Saturday, September 17, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Jessi Combs -- a 2004 graduate of WyoTech's Laramie, Wyoming campus -- and Ian Johnson, who host the widely popular Spike TV Xtreme 4X4 program, will be featured at the celebration. Jessi and Ian will greet guests and sign autographs, culminating the week's filming of an Xtreme 4X4 episode featuring the building of a Formula Toy rock crawler with the assistance of WyoTech students.

"Our high-tech facility provides the perfect backdrop for the premium immersion programs that we offer to automotive technology students," said WyoTech-West Sacramento President Jeff Dorricott. "We are very pleased to be a part of the redevelopment of this area of West Sacramento and hope to serve the community as a valued resource. We also look forward to expanding the range of career opportunities for our students and graduates through our leading-edge programs."

All are welcome to join in the grand opening festivities, which will include a free catered barbeque, facility tours and instructor demonstrations, such as chassis fabrication. Instructors also will be available to answer questions. The school is located at 980 Riverside Parkway in West Sacramento, California.

The open house will follow a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 16th.
