NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Viacom Television Stations Digital Media Group has partnered with MovieTickets.com to bring online movie ticketing services to its newly designed CBS station websites as part of the previously announced "Always On" digital media initiative. MovieTickets.com, the most powerful Internet movie ticketing service, provides site visitors with local showtimes, film synopsis, reviews, trailers and online ticketing for 60 theater chains associated with MovieTickets.com at each of the Viacom Television Station's websites.

Visitors to each of the newly designed and re-launched websites will now have access to the movie listings feature on the local station's homepage customized for that particular market. Users will have seamless access to advance tickets through this link, where they will enter their zip code for a listing of nearby theaters, select a movie and showtime and buy their tickets with a credit card. To pick up their tickets, consumers can visit the theater's box office or automated ticketing station with the credit card used for purchase for verification. MovieTickets.com also offers moviegoers the convenience of printing tickets at home in a wide array of markets.
"Through our partnership with Viacom, consumers and exhibitors will benefit from both the increased access to MovieTickets.com ticketing inventory and extensive reach the CBS network of sites provides," said Mitchell Rubenstein, Co-CEO, MovieTickets.com. "As movies and entertainment are an integral part of a localized portal, MovieTickets.com is thrilled to be an anchor partner -- launching with the newly designed sites and offering movie ticketing services to CBS users out of the gate."
"The combination of our local stations entertainment reports and movie reviews with the online services that MovieTickets.com contributes provides an interactive movie portal for site visitors," said Jonathan Leess, President and General Manager, Viacom Television Stations Digital Media Group. "We are pleased to be able to provide this convenience service for consumers in our local station markets."
The group plans to re-launch websites for all of its CBS stations, including cbs4boston.com (Boston) later in September. The station websites in Salt Lake City (kutv.com), Minneapolis (wcco.com), Denver (cbs4denver.com), San Francisco (cbs5.com), Chicago (cbs2chicago.com), Baltimore (wjz.com), New York (cbsnewyork.com) and most recently, Philadelphia (kyw.com) have already launched. In total, 17 CBS stations will re-launch their websites in 2005, followed by UPN stations in 2006.
