Verizon's Two New Unlimited Calling Plans in Texas Add More Choice to the Service Menu

Customers Can Choose New Any-Distance Domestic Calling Plans Offered with Fewer Features, Lower Prices

DALLAS, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Freedom Essentials and Verizon Freedom Value are two new unlimited any-distance domestic calling plans now available in Texas. The new plans make it easier than ever for customers to choose Verizon for their calling, broadband and entertainment needs.

Verizon Freedom Essentials offers unlimited local, regional and domestic long-distance calling with the three most popular calling features - Home Voice Mail, Call Waiting and Caller ID - for $39.95 per month. Verizon Freedom Value, offering any-distance domestic calling but no calling features, costs $34.95 per month and is the company's lowest-priced any-distance calling plan.

The new plans also let customers couple entry-level 768-kilobit-per-second DSL broadband access at the regular price of $14.95 and the all-digital DIRECTV entertainment service for a total price of $89.89 per month.

With the addition of these new Freedom calling plans, Verizon now offers five Freedom plans with unlimited calling in Texas. Each is designed to meet customers' individual needs.

Verizon's broadband services include multiple DSL products with speeds from 768 kilobits per second to 3.0 megabits per second to ensure customers get the speed they need at the right price. In some areas, the company's newest broadband service, called FiOS Data, offers download speeds of 5, 15 and 30 megabits per second.

The DIRECTV TOTAL CHOICE(R) package offers more than 135 channels of 100 percent digital-quality video and music, providing a higher quality picture and sound than cable's older analog signals, and offers the ability to add advanced services like digital video recorders, interactivity and high- definition programming. Customers with a qualifying voice package and DIRECTV service can get bundle discounts and a single bill for calling and entertainment.
