QVC to Raise $3 Million for Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC and its family of vendors have pledged to raise $3 million for the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief Fund. For the next seven days, participating vendors will donate a portion of their QVC sales to the Fund and QVC will match that donation.
All vendors and their products that are part of the initiative will be identified with an American Red Cross logo on-air and on QVC's website, QVC.com.
"Our hearts go out to all the victims, including our many customers and vendors, who have been affected by this devastating hurricane," said Doug Briggs, QVC's president and CEO. "We are committed to helping them in their time of need."
In addition to its matching vendor donation initiative, QVC has also implemented a matching employee donation program.
