America's Second Harvest--The Nation's Food Bank Network to Benefit From Efforts
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Jewelry Television(TM) and America's Second Harvest--The Nation's Food Bank Network have partnered to launch a national fundraising initiative that will provide aid to the hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast. Beginning Thursday, September 1 through Sunday, September 4, Jewelry Television(TM) will contribute 5% of net sales to America's Second Harvest to help defray transportation and logistics costs associated with transporting non-perishable food and fresh water to victims of the disaster. In addition, Jewelry Television(TM) has donated $10,000 in bottled water that is being transported to the Gulf region this weekend.
