THE COLE CONSPIRACY, produced by Story House Productions for The History Channel, is a dramatic re-creation of the Oct. 12, 2000 suicide bombing of the USS Cole, in which 17 American Sailors were killed while the ship was located in the port of Aden, Yemen.

THE COLE CONSPIRACY offers many first-hand accounts from those who survived the bombing attack. The bombing of the Cole was a precursor to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

During the morning of Oct. 12, 2000, the Cole's crew pulled into the Yemen port intending to refuel. Two men in a small boat sped toward the ship, smiling and waving to Navy fireman, Raymond Mooney, who was keeping watch as the ship refueled. They came up to the side of the boat and detonated explosives that blew a 40-by-60 foot hole in the side of the ship. The blast killed 17 Sailors and wounded 39 others and caused extensive damage to the ship.

THE COLE CONSPIRACY details the American government's investigation that followed the suicide attack.
