'Reyes of Comedy Night' & Si TV Bring a Bit of Levity to Issues Week
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) announced today that it will join with Si TV to produce the Reyes of Comedy Night starring Carlos Mencia and featuring headline comedians Sara Contreras, Joey Medina, and Jeff Garcia, all performing together at the Warner Theatre on September 13, at 8 p.m. The concert will be emceed by Ric Salinas and Richard Montoya, two members of the legendary Culture Clash. This historic comedy performance, produced by Si TV, the English-language Latino cable network, is the second of three CHCI events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. With the generous support of leading sponsors Comedy Central, Anheuser Busch, Sony Music, and others, this event raises money for CHCI's internship, scholarship, and fellowship programs.

"As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month events, it's important that CHCI introduce and support talented comedians and artists to the broader community, who may not have heard of these artists or seen their performances. We're looking forward to a night of laughs from these first-rate comedians," remarked Esther Aguilera, President and CEO of CHCI.
Joey Medina, who currently hosts Circumsized Cinema on Si TV, is ranked as one of the top ten Latin comedians in the country.
