'Lights and Sounds,' First Single From Yellowcard's Upcoming Album, Premieres in EA's Burnout Revenge and on www.yellowcardrock.com Today!

Special Fall U.S. Club Tour Kicks Off October 24th; Pre-Sale Details Available at www.yellowcardrock.com

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Yellowcard have always taken their music to where their fans live, be it all-ages punk clubs, backyards or high schools. Now they're taking their music to where their fans play, premiering "Lights And Sounds," the first single and title track from their forthcoming album, on Electronic Arts' Burnout Revenge. The sequel to 2004's award- winning Burnout 3: Takedown, Burnout Revenge lets gamers live out their wildest commuter fantasies. The game is scheduled for release today, September 13th, which also marks the day "Lights And Sounds" will begin streaming on www.yellowcardrock.com.

After two straight years of touring behind 2003's Platinum-certified Ocean Avenue, Ryan Key and Pete Mosely moved to New York City to begin writing songs for the new record. The rest of the band joined them over time and later met up in Los Angeles to record at the historic Sunset Sound studios, with Neal Avron returning to produce. The album will be released on January 24, 2006.

The band will preview material from Lights and Sounds on a special North American club tour this fall. Pre-sale tickets will be available to fans; for details see www.yellowcardrock.com. The tour commenced on September 8th with a series of thirteen Canadian dates, which the band dubbed the "Wish We Were Canadian" tour. On October 24th -- the day the U.S. leg of the tour launches in Austin, TX -- "Lights And Sounds" will be released as a digital commercial single and a live version of the song will become available for download on the band's recently revved-up website, where fans can now view webisodes of Yellowcard in the studio. "Lights And Sounds" goes for adds at radio on November 15th.

Yellowcard formed in 1997 and relocated from their native Jacksonville, FL to Southern California. After three independent releases and years of incessant touring, they released their Capitol debut, Ocean Avenue, in 2003. Rolling Stone hailed it as a "winning combination of punk, pop and classical" while Blender, in a nod to violinist Sean Mackin, called it "Stratocaster meets Stradivarius." By the close of 2004, they'd had three hit singles, won an MTV Video Music Award, performed on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and appeared on the cover of Alternative Press' "100 Bands You Need To Know In 2004" issue. Hailed as one of the great live acts of their generation, they've sold out shows across the country, from Hollywood's Palladium to the Roseland Ballroom in New York. Ocean Avenue has sold nearly 2.5 million copies worldwide.
