Comcast Serves as Judicial Sponsor of 2005 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation announced today that Comcast Corporation is serving as a Judicial Sponsor of the CBCF's 35th Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) set for September 21-24, 2005 in Washington, DC. The theme of this year's conference is Unity ... Power ... Progress.

The ALC offers the 43 African American Members of Congress an opportunity to discuss their work on legislative items and to engage attendees in a dialogue on policy issues that are of critical concern to their communities. The ALC is one of the leading African American conferences on policy issues. Over 20,000 people gather for the four-day conference, which presents more than 70 panel discussions on relevant issues important to African Americans and other communities of color. In addition, the ALC also hosts a town hall meeting, a prayer breakfast, an awards dinner, free health screenings, a job fair, and an array of other events.
