Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Will Kick Off the Consumer Bankers Association's Home Equity Lending Conference

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Will Kick Off the Consumer Bankers Association's Home Equity Lending Conference

A Donation Will Be Made to the Victims of Hurricane Katrina

LANGHORNE, Pa., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Because of the devastating hurricane in New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama, the Consumer Bankers Association's Home Equity Lending Conference was moved from its original location in New Orleans to Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of hosting a charity auction, Group9, the company underwriting the opening event of the Home Equity Committee of the Consumers Bankers Association, has asked all participants to make a significant contribution to the Red Cross. In addition, CBA will contribute $100 for each conference registration to the Red Cross, as well as accept donations on-site.

The opening event and concert will take place on Sunday, September 18th, at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, 5350 East Marriott Drive in Phoenix, Arizona, at 7:00 p.m. The conference is scheduled from Sunday, September 18, to Wednesday, September 21.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will still be the featured band performing at the opening event of the 2005 Home Equity Lending Conference. Since their emergence onto the music scene in 1992 in Southern California's swing scene, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has become one of the most innovative bands in the U.S. With their popular hit, "You and Me and the Bottle Makes Three Tonight (Baby)," the band revived the sounds of the '40s and '50s, borrowing some of the Rat Pack lingo in addition to zoot suits. In 1997, the band released two albums - "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy" and "Whatchu' Want for Christmas" - which led to a major label contract with Capitol Records. By the time the band came together for a follow-up, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy had sold over three million albums, performed at Super Bowl XXXIII with Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estefan and had their music used in over 60 film and TV trailers. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was unstoppable. Their fifth album, "Save My Soul," was released in July 2003, five years after their Interscope debut.
