XM's old-school R&B channel devotes three days to music legend's career

WASHINGTON, July 2, XM Satellite Radio, America's leading satellite radio service, is broadcasting a marathon tribute throughout the July 4th weekend to commemorate the career of Luther Vandross, celebrating the R&B legend's life and music with an exclusive, commercial-free broadcast spanning his 30-year body of work as a songwriter, producer and singer. Mr. Vandross passed away July 1 at the age of 54.

XM's round-the clock musical tribute to Luther Vandross is airing on the old-school R&B channel The Groove. The tribute began July 2 at 10:00 am ET and will continue through July 3 at 12 midnight, followed by a July 4 special featuring an in-depth interview with Vandross recorded at the XM studios in Washington, D.C. in 2003.

XM is playing a deep variety of Vandross' popular hits, album tracks, and rare live performances on The Groove.
